My name is Carolyn Whelchel. I have held an active Texas Real Estate license since 1982. I have held an active Texas Brokers license since 1985. I have a BA from Texas A & M Commerce in Accounting and Business. I worked as an accountant for a local manufacturing business for 7 years before deciding to sell real estate. I have been president of the Paris Board of Realtors twice, vice president and secretary treasurer numerous times. I have been on a number of committees every year. All of this education and experience enables me to assist you in all your real estate needs.
I have been married to Lloyd Chock Whelchel since 1968. We have 3 sons, Captain Joseph C. Whelchel married to Dallas, Lloyd E. Whelchel married to Sherry, and Thomas W. Whelchel married to Amy, which were all a joy and a trial to raise. We have 6 grand children, Llanden, Tristan, Chance, Londen, Alyssa, and Abigail.
I believe in the American dream of owning property either as investment or as a home for you and your family. Real Estate is the basis for America. There are many countries in the world that the land is owned by the government. I take an active interest in my local, state and national real estate boards as they help us maintain property rights for us all. To own you own place is one of the right that have helped keep our country strong. Our parents, grand parents, and great grand parents fought wars, sacrificed so that we today have the right to own property. I get great satisfaction being a part of this process of helping people buy and sell real estate.
